GOLD Coast stuntman Russel Francis admits he welled up with tears after living to sing another day — tonight, in fact — on reality TV ratings hit The Voice.
Francis was facing the chop from Team Seal after his sing-off with Lara Nakhle and Annalise.
“I thought this is it, time to pack my bags. And then Boy George stole me,” he said.
“Backstage afterwards I broke down. I was really emotional. Laura is such a phenomenal person."
“I was happy to go through and then heartbroken at the same time."
A former Chippendales host and stage performer from Florida, Francis embarked on a new career as a stuntman at Movie World after moving to Main Beach with his Aussie wife, Ali Francis.
Russel Francis is now a stuntman at Movie World.
He’s currently working as a driver and drifter in Hollywood Stunt Driver 2

The MTAQ Racing Team has returned from it’s Northern adventure to the Townsville Supercars event, and the EFS Excel Challenge. It has been a mammoth few weeks for the team, which has covered over 4000 kilometres and put in some big days and late nights to get to events on back to back weekends – a task we haven’t taken on before. The heat was most certainly on the streets up in Townsville, and all in all it was a cracking event and well worth the effort to attend.
After a long and enforced hiatus away from the thrills of competitive motor racing, the MTAQ Racing Team will be back on track this month for the first round of the Hyundai Excel X3 Queensland State Championship sponsored by Neta Tyres.
